  • I just purchased my dream dress from Becker's Bridal on Friday at a dream price, and so yes, I am a fan. I have plenty of friends/colleagues who had bought dresses at this store so I was due to pay it a visit after I had narrowed down my selection and what I was looking for in a dream dress. The day I was thinking of going to the store coincided with their Sample Sale and so I called to make sure if an appointment was needed. I was told to come down and see what they have as they were fully booked, and if I saw something I liked they would work with me. I was looking for a dress that would be under $1000 and they assured me they had a lot of dresses that fit that range, and that was true. Right from when I walked into the store (I was alone), I was given direction on where to find the samples, and told to have a look around. I found one dress I really wanted to try, so they put me on a waiting list and got a consultant to help me while they waited on a room. The consultant didn't really work there, she was merely there to assist with the overflow, but she was great as that meant there was no commission based pressure and I could get unfiltered reactions :-) They found me a room upstairs which worked perfectly as my sister joined later with her entourage and this upstairs room provided the perfect setting as there was seating for the weary little ones with her, and privacy in the fitting room (as opposed to the hallway downstairs). I tried on three dresses, but I knew my ONE the minute I put it on, didn't want to take it off (sounds cliche, but its true). I tried the other two for contrast, and quickly got back into my dress. I was able to take photos, discussed pricing and alterations with the store owner?(Not sure what her name was). They also had a seamstress in the store who came and went over the minor alterations I would need, but the dress mostly fit like a glove (it was meant to be!). After about 45 minutes, I finally got out of the dress, and went and bought it - the sale price was 50% off the original, which made getting it even sweeter, plus they threw in a reduced dry cleaning price as well. They will be dry cleaning it for me and I pick up in 6 weeks. Its such a great feeling to know I wore my dress (not waiting on a dress being made for 4 -6 months etc, I am not very patient by nature!) All in all, it was a really positive experience, the service was a good as it gets in these bridal stores (I had been to about 4 other stores), and to find my dress made it even more amazing. Thank you Becker's Bridal!
