  • I was really happy to find to a local coffee shop in an area that sports 5 Starbucks within a two block radius plus a couple other chains. Like Bree K., I can't believe how many times I walked past this place before Yelp helped me find it though the mobile search. Golden Mint is a no-nonsense honest coffee & tea place. They roast their own beans on site, all FairTrade. They make their espresso beverages with this gorgeous Italian espresso machine (see the photos). I've had the coffee, the Americano, and latte's here and been satisfied with every time. No need to add sugar to these babies. They have some very tasty pastries, but I'm quite proud of resisting more than not. The shop is cozy, and the prices are similar to any of the chain places. I'm quite happy to patronize a local coffee shop. They also sell take-away beans for a very cheap price and are quite friendly to assist you. I'm not so much a tea person, but the tea selection looks pretty incredible. To find it, just locate the 7-11 on the corner of College & Yonge and walk a couple doors South on the East side of Yonge Street.
