Everyone knows that moving is a pain, but you'd hope that companies would try and make it easier on customers throughout the process. We recently rented a 5x9 trailer to tow behind the SUV instead of renting a truck. The pick up process went smoothly after we initially called 3 places to find an available trailer. It was the return process that was a nightmare! Because all of the other U-Haul stores were out of trailers we had to go out of our way to pick it up further from both the old and new home locations. We requested to drop it off at a closer location so we didn't have to haul it all around Phoenix and was told no. So this process added an extra 45 minutes to our move to take it back to the original location. It was about 8pm and the location had closed with no instructions on where to leave it. So we just pulled in, unhooked it and left. Thank god no one stole it during the night and we received our final bill via email the following day. The rental just stressed us out more than the move did- not cool!
