  • CHINATOWN OPTICAL: EPITOME OF INCREDIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. My family and I have been coming here since 2010. My dad was initially introduced to Amy through referral by his co-worker and I am beyond thankful that he did. I have been wearing glasses since I was 5 years old (I'm now 23) and I can truthfully say that every experience I have had here has been amazing! I never truly appreciated customer service and the aesthetics of eyeglasses until I started coming here. (You can skip this part as it is a quick story of my recent visit) My family took a trip here last weekend and as always, we were warmly greeted and never to my surprise, were we remembered BY NAME! Amy came to greet my parents and Emily assisted me and my sister. It only took a simple "I'm looking for so and so and so styled glasses" and without hesitation was Emily able to pull out a dozen pair of glasses for my sister and I to try -- EACH! She knew exactly what she was talking about and knew exactly the kind of glasses we both needed. Ultimately, my sister ended up with new Armani glasses, new contacts and a starter kit for said contacts. I walked away with super cute Chanel glasses because God knows I need them. My sister and I, because of their great service all these years, went out to Tim Hortons and bought them gift cards. And I rarely do that in general. There was a misunderstanding between my dad and Amy in regards to previous purchases and Amy - bless her soul - went out of her way to fully explain the processes in which she approached the ordering and purchasing of my dad's sunglasses. She did not finish until my dad finally understood what happened and future expectations. She finished helping my dad find a new pair of Oakley sunglasses too! AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF: THEY OFFER YOU DRINKS WHILE YOU WAIT! (San Pellegrino and Coke for us!) The environment is amazing. Super chic. And you cannot beat the prices here. All are legitimate brands (they even carry the Tiffany&Co glasses!) Everyone knows exactly what they're talking about and knows exactly what you want. They always give their honest opinions. I cannot say enough great things about this place and its employees. It's truly a hidden gem in the heart of Toronto.
