| - I have been a customer of VCS for several years now as their waxing specialist, Tabitha, is absolutely the best at what she does. Seriously, I will now not even consider getting a wax anywhere else. Tabitha has a way of instructing you to manipulate and pull the skin so you get the best and most long lasting wax possible. In addition, she has a very calm, soothing voice that mitigates the pain you experience throughout the service. It should also be noted that they use very high quality wax as well as cooling lotion to minimize skin irritation.
Although having been a customer for several years, I had never tried out their hair salon services, which is a big part of their business. I decided to go with VCS when it came time to book my wedding updo. I scheduled a trial with a stylist and came in about 5 months before my wedding date so I had time to consider what style I wanted. The stylist I worked with was fine, she ended up finding a style that I liked and she took pictures so I had it as a reference. They put my wedding date in the books so I would be able to return to the same stylist for my wedding. However, about a month before my wedding, I called up to double check the time of the appointment as well as to make a few additional appointments for my bridal party. At that time, the receptionist informed me that the stylist that had done my trial no longer worked at VCS and they automatically booked me with the next available stylist. I was a bit blindsided by this as I felt this was a gross oversight on their end to not call me and notify me of this as soon as the former stylist became no longer employed with them. It also perturbed me that I had paid for a trial with someone who would not actually be doing my updo. In their defense, throughout that time they were undergoing some pretty serious renovations of their salon as well as receptionist turnover. Still, I shuddered to think if I would have been surprised the day of my wedding with a completely different stylist, and even worse, if she was not able to execute the style I had chosen (this had unfortunately happened to me in the past!) In actuality, the stylist I worked with, Mandy Mae, was absolutely lovely and I actually preferred her over the former stylist. However, it was clear that there was some miscommunication as she did not see in the notes that it was my actual wedding date when I came in. Still though, I was happy with the service I received and did feel that Mandy Mae did an excellent job. In addition, I have never had any other issues with mis-booking or otherwise during the many times I have visited this salon in the past. Lastly, I would highly recommend VCS at the very least for their incredible waxing services with Tabitha.
