  • tl;dr delicious but pricey tapas in a very chic and open setting within the Cosmo This was the first dinner spot on my most recent Vegas trip. We were staying near the Cosmo and I wanted to eat in the area so we could easily get back to our hotel and pregame. Tapas sounded good to me so I went ahead and made a reservation for 4 a couple weeks in advance for Saturday evening. Fast forward to that night. The restaurant was easy to find as it was on the 3rd floor of the Cosmo with most of the other restaurants. It was pretty empty when we arrived for our 6:15 reservation, so my guess is we didn't really need a reservation, but it's always better to be safe than sorry. None of us were too hungry since we had snacking throughout the afternoon, so we ordered a paella and a couple small plates (* marks my favorites): Pan con tomate ($12.50) - I enjoyed the crispiness of the bread but thought the tomatoes could have been more flavorful Paella ($35) - the way their paella works is they are always cooking 1-2 paellas in the kitchen. Once it's ready a bell will ring and you can ask your server for a serving. If you don't like the paella toppings, you have to wait for the next paella to finish cooking. I enjoyed our paella which had sausage and chicken, but the portion was very small for how much the dish cost. Also I wish they had given us more rice as there was a disproportionate amount of meat to rice * Tortilla patatas ($12.50) - the Spanish omelette with potatoes was delicious. I appreciated that our server confirmed with us to make sure we were okay with a slightly runnier inside. We were, and I loved how soft and fluffy the omelette was! * Gambas al ajillo ($18) - another tapas classic and one that was recommended by our server. the shrimp had a great garlic flavor Patatas bravas ($11.50) - my least favorite dish from the night as the potatoes were topped with an aioli sauce. I don't like mayo in anything so I had to scrape the aioli off before eating * Pollo croquetas ($12.50) - another favorite from the whole table. The chicken croquettes were so soft and creamy inside. Loved the presentation as it was served in a shoe. Never seen that before! * Costillas romero ($25.50) - the lamb was grilled to a perfect medium rare...yum! Dinner came out to a little under $40 pp with tax and tip. Yes it was pricey but I
