  • Disclaimer: We love all things in the Marvel universe. When we heard about this museum, we had to check it out. We used the Groupon deal to get our tickets since it came with more amenities than the Yelp deal. One thing included was the headset and training device, which definitely add to the experience. The whole museum is set up as a training for new 'agents' so you have to learn about all the Avengers and are quizzed (using the training device) on the information in each room. It's a cute touch. You are given instructions and a fake security screening at the beginning of the tour by Agent Hill and end the tour with a final mission, which I'll keep a surprise. The rooms are dedicated to a specific avenger, or sometimes a group of people. The big four (Hulk, Captain America, Thor, and Iron man) have a lot of cool stuff in large rooms, while everyone else has much smaller dedications. If you haven't seen all of the Marvel movies 10 times, the museum provides a lot of backstory information on the characters and you can learn a lot about them. There is reading for a lot of items, as well as audio descriptions on the device. There are a lot of interesting museum pieces! In Captain America's room alone they had everything from his shield to his initial suit to a motorcycle and the machine that introduced him to the super soldier serum. In iron man's room they had a whole wall of the various suits, including the hulkbuster! Some parts of the exhibits are interactive, and since you're ushered in to the museum in small groups, everyone can easily get a turn with them. One thing that I didn't expect was that the museum tried to stress the science behind things. They 'explained' why Captain America survived being frozen, why Hulk's personality is different from Dr. Banner, wormholes, etc. That was a pretty neat spin on things. If you love the Avengers, it's pretty cool. Since there is a lot of reading smaller children may not be as interested, although they would still find exhibits exciting.
