| - Red flag - I was told that I was NOT allowed to come and visit my breast fed infant on my lunch hour. They DO NOT allow you any visitation at this daycare. You pick up and you drop off and that is it. I was told that it was not about my child, and that there were other children's needs that needed to be met and by me coming down during my lunch hour to nurse my baby was not advisable as it would be very disruptive to the other children. This was told to me by the Manager. This facility does not like it if you show up unannounced. Parents do not receive a daily infant log with detail on how much formula/breast milk was consumed, what kind and how much solid food was eaten, information on diaper changes, what was covered in the class lesson if any, and when the child napped, unless you ask for this information it is NOT offered to you...and when it is communicated to you it is verbal. These logs are very useful for predicting the evening needs of a child and can alert a parent to illnesses and other problems.I showed up unannounced to pick my baby up for his Dr's appointment, and my presence clearly took the owner by surprise. She dashed into the infant room whilst I signed my baby out. I thought this to be very odd, so I ran after her as I wanted to see what she clearly did NOT want me to see going on in that infant room. When I walked through the door. She was hovering over my 8mth old son, who was sleeping in a bouncy chair and not in his crib, his arms were restrained to the side of his body, and he was saturated in urine. I stood there calmly what she unwrapped my child and handed him to the lead teacher to change his diaper and soiled clothing. We were already running late for our appointment so I did not have a chance to confront her about what I had witnessed. She told me he had a really good day with them. The next day I confronted her. I asked her does my son normally sleep in a bouncy chair and why was he restrained like that. She replied no, he does not normally sleep in a bouncy chair and he was very fussy and just would not settle down so she swaddled him. She calls it swaddling, I call it restraining. My son is 8mths old and is sleep trained he DOES NOT need, at 8mths of age, to be swaddled to fall off to sleep. I told her I would prefer it if he was not "swaddled" and offered to come down on my lunch hour to show them how I put him to bed so that they could follow suit. She indirectly told me NO it was not necessary.My son then started coming home with a change of at least 3 sets of soiled clothing on a regular basis. I mean poop soiled into his pants, wet clothing. I was then told that his diapers were too small for him. The owner asked me if I wanted them to put TWO diapers on him. REALLY two diapers. I told her NO, I immediately purchased the next sized up and a more expensive brand, but still he was coming home soiled. By the end of the week his bottom developed a rash, and I immediately went to Target on our drive home to purchase the maximum strength of Desitin as I had to treat his raw bottom all weekend. On Monday, January 26th I had asked the lead teacher once again to apply Desitin on his bottom with every diaper change. This request had been previously made in the past, but then it stopped. I looked for the Owner and she wasn't in. So when I got to work that morning I contacted the daycare and ask for her, but she still was not in. So I spoke to the Manager and had requested 3 things. The first request, to have the teachers in my son's room change my son's diapers every two hours regardless of whether he needed it or not. This is common sense, and should not have had to be requested by me. The second request, to apply Desitin with every diaper change, because his bottom was still red. The third request, to inform me when my child was low on supplies as he was completely out of food twice the week before and if I had not brought food in, cause I assumed he was low, he would have went without for the day, then I would have been called to come and get him whilst at work and would have to miss work because of lack of their lack of communication. The Manager took offense to my request, and had the Owner call me. When the Owner contacted me, she was so unprofessional. She started screaming at me and rudely told me to me to take my child back to Tutor Time. I would gladly take my child back to Tutor Time in a heartbeat because Tutor time knows how to do business and they treat their CUSTOMERS with RESPECT. I wanted a smaller environment for my son, and trusted that he would be cared for but I was sadly mistaken. I too witnessed the owner talk in a very unprofessional tone to one of the little girls in her facility. My only regret is that I wish she had made eye contact with me when she told that little girl in a very stern tone of voice, "Don't you think you can pull that nonsense off with me young lady.
