| - I went in for a hair cut yesterday. While the haircut itself was satisfactory, the price and the stylist were not. When I booked my appointment I looked online at the prices. I told the receptionist to not book me with anyone that was more expensive than an artistic team member ($40) because I simply can't afford anything higher. Of course, there was no discussion on the phone about what my cut would cost me, so I found out AFTER my hair had been done that I'd be shelling out $85 for a trim and some layering. If you look online at the price menu there is not even anything in the ballpark of $85. The closest thing is a $65 haircut done by one tier under Carmen ($200). On top of that, I have long and thick hair, so as a courtesy I usually tell them to book extra time so my stylist doesn't feel rushed. Apparently C&C charges extra for extra time, and neither the stylist or the receptionist could manage to tell me that until after my hair was cut. Then there is the issue of my stylist. She was a really grumpy middleaged woman. I don't know if she was having a bad day when I walked in and my mass of hair just made it worse, or what. But she definitely took it out on me. She was very rude, complaining about the amount of hair, and as she was blow drying she would snittily say she needed breaks. Then after the fact when I asked about the extra cost for extra time she spoke to me rudely saying that "she could've had two appointments in the time it took to do MY hair." Well, apparently I paid for two appointments, so I was really insulted by that. To top it off, she LOADED my hair with product, more than I've ever seen anyone put in my hair before, and even if I do love the cut, I can't wear it for more than a day. So literally, that was $85 down the drain. I'm not usually one to complain but this was absolutely horrendous, and I feel taken advantage of. There is nowhere on the site where you can call for customer service, and there is no other line to contact besides appointments if you have a problem. I am usually a very faithful Carmen and Carmen customer, but after that experience I might become a Planet 21 girl.
