  • Best steakhouse in Charlotte! Hidden behind the dated facade of a small building on South Blvd, you'll find a packed restaurant of locals who know where to find the best steak, staff, and salad dressing around! A reservation is recommended, but not required - except you may end up with a very long wait time on a Friday or Saturday evening. If you enjoy a kick of heat, start with the shrimp cocktail and go easy on the horseradish for your first shrimp. You'll find that the cocktail sauce will light you up - then you can gauge whether you can handle more on the next shrimp. More is better, but beware the nasal cleanse. They have house-made salad dressings that make the house salad a great choice and you'll share a platter or vegetables to add. They also offer a Caesar salad that is equally delicious. (Not homemade, they'll remind you, but you still can't go wrong with it!) Main entrĂ©es come in a number of varieties, but after the shrimp and salad, I stick with a simple filet, medium rare, and a side of potatoes. The onion rings are great, but each steak comes with an onion ring on top, so you get to enjoy one with an additional side. Great place for a date or group of friends celebrating a birthday.
