Here's the scenario:
It's 4am on a Monday and I just walked off the craps table at NyNy resort uber hungry. The food court is closed and the only place open within close proximity is this place. I instantly fear the abhorrent midnight mediocrity that is the standard for most late night casino eats however this place is a welcome surprise for late night eats.
I ordered the 15.99 rib eye steak late night special; medium rare with a loads baked potato and the lady ordered the monte cristo sandwich.
Food quality was very good.
The steak was a generous ribeye cut and it was actually cooked as requested. (I say that because you can't ask for the world when ordering late night steak specials) Needless to say, its probably the best steak I've had at 4am .
The lady's Monte Cristo was as awesome!
The French Toast was well cooked (meaning not runny eggs/sloppy or burnt ). It was the a great marriage between breakfast and lunch in your mouth at 4 am.
As expected the service and food came out slow. (This is expected when you are dining at 4am) however the server was very friendly and accommodating so it really was not an issue at all.
I don't know if we lucked out but I can seem to understand how this place has so many bad reviews? This place is much better than most late night casino eats.
I say eat with confidence; especially at 4am
