  • I was initially very happy with this practice. I needed a lot of dental work and everyone was very friendly and accommodating. After going there for a few months, I started to find it odd that I never received a statement showing my charges versus the amounts that I had been paying out of pocket and itemized charges for my procedures. I was just told the amount I would need to pay if my current account balance would not cover what I needed done. Admittedly, this is my fault for letting it continue as long as I did. My last visit to this Dentist was not due to financial constraints, but to aftercare. I feel that this practice has grown to be too much for one Dentist to be able to provide the best care. Not being a Dentist, I may be out of line making this call, but I will explain my reason for this judgement below. My last procedure involved a bridge along the front of my mouth. While waiting for the Dentist to come in for my procedure, I could hear her in the next room with a patient that was having quite a hard time. When the Dentist came to me, I could tell she was visibly flustered. I explained that I was not in a hurry and could wait if she needed some time to compose herself. She explained that she was fine and proceeded with my numbing injections. Fast forward about 4 days or so and I started to experience pain in the area of the procedure. I called the office and they had me come in for an adjustment. The pain continued throughout the day and the pain medicine I had been prescribed was not helping. Because of the area of the pain and some swelling, I thought it was possible that I had a sinus infection that was causing pressure on my teeth. A trip to the Urgent Care proved this theory invalid. The UC Dr. prescribed OxyContin for the pain, which helped alleviate the pain for a short time. The next morning I called the Dentist office to explain the situation. I was told that they would discuss my situation with the Dentist and follow up with me. The swelling of my face continued along with the severe pain. Once the swelling reached the area around my eye, I call my PC Dr. and upon examination, sent for a CAT scan the same day. I was also put on steroids and an antibiotic, after which the pain FINALLY subsided and the swelling started to reduce. I NEVER received a follow up call from the Dentist. But I did receive a bill for $1,000 after canceling future appointments. In case your wondering, the Dr. that ordered the CAT scan concluded the I had experienced cellulitis due to a damaged nerve. I have since found a new Dentist.
