| - I was referred to Dr. Diaz back in Aug. 2015, by Dr. Hailstone(Forte Family Medicine). I was seeing my primary doc complaining of severe headaches, so he ordered a MRI of the brain. The test was performed 8/27/15. So a few days later Dr. Diaz office called to schedule an appointment. The representative told me the first available appointment would not be until 12/3/15, I then ask to be put on a cancellation list, because I was having headaches and migraines often, he told me he would. I myself called the office often at least once a week, asking for any cancellations and was told there was not any, I assumed that my test was normal, since my appointment wasn't sooner. When I saw Dr. Diaz on 12/3 he informed me that my MRI was abnormal and showed that I have a brain tumor. And he then just continued to say that it was 1.5 cm, which is pretty big because of where it was. It was in my pituitary gland. And I would need surgery and it could only be done in Cali. He showed no sympathy to me and just passed the tissue box. He sent me for lab work. I was in a daze after just being told I have a brain tumor. I got a second opinion (Dr. Michael Horan) he said " I don't like to use the word tumor"(really) and also said the tumor grew by almost 10%, but I could hold off for surgery for a few months...just crazy. I went back to see my primary doc on 12/16, that day is when he finally saw my MRI results that he ordered back in August. He referred me to Dr. Anson and I am scheduled for surgery 2/8. I feel I was let down by doctors that I trusted. Yes they say this is routine surgery but damn it, it is still brain surgery. If my docs had of followed up on my abnormal MRI I would have had the surgery and recouping by now. This has caused me more pain and suffering, as well as financially, my husband works over seas, and flew home once he found out, but since we could not get the surgery until 2/8 he had to return to work, and come back for surgery. I think all doctors should follow up personally when they order these expensive test. Hell.... Put us in your damn Outlook , put a reminder somewhere. And to top it off Dr. Diaz office has been calling me, actually he just called while I have been typing this review and wanted me to come in today, so why that did not happen between August and Dec. the 3rd. Do not put your trust in some doctors.
