Tonight's dinner was truly a disappointment. We were in the mood for steak tonight and our hotel had recommended this place. We knew it was a little pricey but it was walking distance from our hotel and the night was getting late, so we figured why not. With a 97$ porterhouse for 2, we were expecting a pretty amazing steak but we were so wrong. We'd both describe it as "acceptable." The steak was not given a chance to rest and was cut into right off the grill, leaving us with a fairly dry steak before we could even start. To start the dinner, we were given some cold bland tasting bread. The iceberg wedge salad my wife got was just ok. You would think for a 15$ salad - the bacon would be a little bigger and taste less like bacos. I got 2 jumbo shrimp grilled with a tomato jalapeƱo salsa(12$/shrimp), which was probably the best part of the meal. As for the steak, we had ordered it medium as my wife doesn't like the steak to be bloody but when it arrived it was still quite rare and had to be sent back, essentially killing the steak. The sides of garlic mashed and creamed spinach, pretty much staples of a good steakhouse, were passable but nothing to write home about. Overall, the meal did not match up with the price on the bill and I think we'll pass on this restaurant next time in town.
