  • Bits of greatness in this dank hole: The Tank... Yup, that's it, and the best part about the experience is being able to say, "I took a water slide through a shark tank." and having the photos to prove it since from inside the slide you can see little other than shades of green and gray in the blue as you speed through the clear portion of the slide. The rest: 1.) No bathrobes in our room 2.) Internet costs $12.99 per device for 24 hours of unlimited use, 4 Keurig cups of coffee costs $10 3.) Told at check in we would get a AAA discount, and upon checkout were told that was completely incorrect 4.) We were supposed to get free admission to Gold Diggers because we were staying at the Golden Nugget as part of an event instead we had to use these coupons given out (they're for no cover or buy one drink get one free) so we didn't get the buy one get one deal and two well rum and cokes cost $20. There are way nicer places on Fremont Street that charge less. 5.) Maybe we're neurotic, but we always leave our "Privacy Please" sign on the door whether or not we're in the room or not. So on night 3 of our 3 night stay when we returned to our room and saw the sign missing we were a bit perturbed. When we entered and found the sign hanging on the inside of the door in addition to the lights being on, towels on our bed, and a mini-fridge on a kart we were more than a little furious. We called down to the front desk and received a, "That shouldn't have happened" - duh. Then we waited on hold for 20 minutes only to be hung up on. When we called back we received more of an explanation, "I called housekeeping, I'm waiting to hear back." And what does this do for us? Beyond annoyed we wheeled the fridge into the hall and quickly switched into warmer clothing to go out for the night. When we left 10 minutes later the fridge was gone. So they can take a fridge in ten minutes, but can't offer an apology ever. At check out we asked what happened and what the hotel intended to do about it, and we received the response, "An internal investigation." NO APOLOGY was ever given, and certainly no discount or other means of maintaining a good relationship with the customer. Overall every single staff person we encountered was rude, or misleading: some were both. we will NEVER stay here again. This was our first and last time. With tons of hotels to choose from why stay at one that blatantly disrespects your privacy, and has TERRIBLE customer service?
