  • My technician was Joel. Appliance Rescue was sent to me by Asurion for my warranty on my Maytag washer. I was told I would be contacted by my technician prior to the appointment so that he could diagnose the issue and bring an parts if needed, but he didn't contact me until he was on the way to my house. My washer was shaking violently (so much so that it turned sideways), and foam insulation/padding that was inside of it had crumbled and fallen all over the floor. Joel arrived extremely early, which was fine because then I didn't have to spend my whole day waiting around for him. He told me the foam wasn't from my washer. Yes, it just all magically appeared underneath there! I insisted that it was (because it was) and he finally conceded and so "Oh yeah, it's this padding right here, but it's not important." Hmm...I'm not an appliance manufacturer, but I'd like to think they aren't throwing extra parts in there for fun times and that everything serves a purpose. He chose not to replace that part, which I'm still irritated about (especially because it continues to crumble and there is now more foam on the floor). He leveled one of the legs and told me we were going to run it and to grab "something" to put in. I got three pairs of jeans and put soap in and he told me no soap and that I didn't have enough clothing. I got more and he told me the washer is shaking because I'm not putting enough clothes in. He didn't tell me I needed to get a full load of laundry to "test" it, or I would have. He "tested" it and deemed it okay and then proceeded to tell me that I need to make sure the center of the drum is clear of clothing when I start the washer or the clothes will move. Guess what...there's no agitator, so they still move. There is literally no way to avoid this. It definitely seemed like he had no desire to try and fix the crumbling foam and just wanted to lecture me on how I do my laundry. He wasn't rude about it, but he definitely wasn't helpful at all. I would NEVER work with this company if you have a choice.
