It is now April 2017 and I had my 1998 Mazda 626 back in Shane's Auto Repair. The repairs were completed last month in March. I had this whining noise in the engine compartment. In December 2016 Shane informed me that that the timing belt was too tight. However when I put the car in his shop last month he found that the timing belt was not installed correctly in Parker, Colorado, and an incorrect spring was placed it. However the Alternator was the culprit making all the noise not the timing belt. But, the timing belt was still incorrectly installed. He also found that the Right Axel Assembly needed to be replaced.
Shane graciously worked on my car "personally" and I had to leave the car in the shop for four days. Who cares, Shane worked on it! He did not want to give me the car back until everything was fixed and correct. One will never know my "gratitude and appreciation" for Shane and his integrity and honesty. Folks, if you want great repair work on your cars and great honest service go to Shane's Auto Repair. Believe me, he will do the job right for you and will be upfront on the cost. I cannot recommend anyone over Shane, ever.
Rafael his employee is a good guy and called me repeatedly over the progression of the repairs and how much longer it would take to be repaired. Rafael is a top notch employee.
