| - The Bottom Line: An extremely high quality restaurant in a gorgeous setting with pitch-perfect service. Even in Vegas, it is hard to go anywhere else after you've been at Bouchon.
Try:
Salade Maraîchère au Chèvre Chaud
Soupe à l'Oignon
Pâtes du Jour
Poulet Rôti
Pro:
Where to start? From the moment we stepped in, the service treated us as if we were VIPs. The din of the room, the lightning, the decorations, everything felt appropriately elegant and welcoming, avoiding the occasional garishness or ostentatiousness of other restaurants on the Strip.
But you care about the food more than anything, and Bouchon delivers. The salad was light, fresh, with bursts of flavor. The soup had weight and savoriness without being salty or leaving you stuffed. The pasta was cooked in a way that allowed it to absorb the flavor, instead of merely being coated in sauce. The chicken was thick, juicy, and simply outstanding.
Excellent, just excellent. The pricing is fantastic. If you do not want to make a reservation 4 months in advance for French Laundry (a sister restaurant in Napa Valley) and pay $300+ per person, Bouchon is a similarly delightful experience at a MUCH better price point and availability. We didn't even need to make a reservation. We took a gamble by showing up, and were seated immediately.
Come on a date if you are looking to impress. Heck, come on an anniversary. You won't be disappointed.
Con:
I only wish I could go more often.
