| - Chapters Indigo online is a clear example of why some businesses should not get into offering online services if they still think Y2K is around the corner. Their poor customer service is also why many people try to do online shopping once and then swear that they won't do it ever again.
I ordered a used book (any used book falls in the category of "rare" book, for some reason), so they said that it could take 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. Yup, six weeks.
I knew that it'd take that long only because I called after 2 weeks, as the online link from the email I initially received from them is pathetically devoid of any useful information. Therefore, I patiently waited for the book to arrive.
Lo and behold, the day came and the book arrived. Yes, a South Asian version of the book I ordered (no reference of this critical fact anywhere on the link that I clicked when I proceeded to purchase the book), which is not intended for sale "Outside of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and The Maldives".
After 6 weeks of wait, I now have a book that I cannot even use in North America. How nice. Good job, Indigo. I shall never use their crappy services (online, at least) again. Thank goodness for Amazon.
