| - This is where I grab my nuts! Strictly Bulk is much like your Bulk Barn stores, only with a less consistent colour scheme. If you shop in such places, you know what to expect: large bins of heaped product, ready to be bagged and weighed at the counter cash. In this sense, they succeed: there are many heaps, each with their own scoop (usually), and the counter cash is helpful in making you pay for your portion. They are often smiling when they're not leaning.
But if you're not into heaps and would prefer more a package, don't worry, as they have plenty of packages as well. Some contain jam, others oil, but rest assured they are sealed and long since produced in a factory. There's also soy milk and a few cartons of eggs in the back fridge.
This is a pretty good place I tend to shop at fairly constantly. Sometimes I wish the bins were a bit cleaner, maybe neater, but this is bulk buying, and I realize you can't expect tidiness with hundreds of people opening the same flap and digging through consumables with a special food spade. We're cretins and that is simply the lifestyle.
They also have one of those big machines that excretes peanut butter. Do you like those? I don't. But there's one here, so bring your tub or jar or whatever. I guess I'm still too civilized.
