  • My son has been receiving services from Southwest Autism and Behavioral Solutions since he was 3 years old, when he could not communicate at all. He is now 6 years old and soon to be 7. As a parent, it was a big fear and concern, not being able to listen to my son's voice, and not being able to know exactly what he wanted, or what he was even thinking. As he started his ABA Therapy, I was pleased with his interventionist, because she took the time to explain with detail all the programs he would start having. I am thankful for the continued personal involvement with me. Because my son is such a fast learner, his programs are changed often and with their caring guidance each transition for my son has gone well. I love that they include a food tolerance program as well, which has helped tremendously with my son's picky eating habits. He has gone from only eating crackers, only certain fruit, or chicken nuggets, to eating other fruits and vegetable and even having pizza and hamburgers occasionally. Not only are they helping my son, but at the same time they taught me ways in which to communicate with him when he was non-verbal, and how to continue doing what's best for my son on a daily basis through our everyday lives. I am extremely grateful and appreciative of my son's ABA hours, the great workers, consultants, and all the people that care about my son. He is now talking off the wall. I know this wouldn't be possible without Southwest. They have a group of people that make their team wonderful and I would not change them at all. I am fortunate to have had the chance to cross paths with this company and I'm pleased 100 % with their services which include ABA Therapy, Social Skills group and Summer Camp. My son enjoys his ABA sessions, and he affectionately calls it "work". He always looks forward to attending his Social Skills group to interact with other children, and even on the days he does not have his ABA session, he is anxious for his next one. As a parent of a child with Autism I am exceptionally pleased with everything that Southwest has done for my son and family. I can say that they are the best providers my son has had, and I would not trade them for any other agencies in town.
