  • This place is a joke. My brother took me to Vegas for my first time last month (he's been out 11 times) and left the reservations up to me. I spent weeks researching and reading reviews, eventually making the mistake of choosing this place. First off, we were seated at the most uncomfortable table I've ever sat at. I was on a couch where I couldn't lean back, had no arm rests, and wasn't firm enough to sit up. I was stuck in limbo trying to be comfortable without dropping food everywhere. The first sommelier we spoke with was very kind and helpful, but he left shortly after and was replaced by another guy that let our glasses go dry several times. The worst part was the attitude he gave us when we wanted his attention. He was too busy watching the NBA playoffs on the TV and couldn't be bothered. The bread was actually amazing, I'll give them that. The steak tartar was good and a surprisingly large portion. I'm on the fence about the lobster bisque; part of me likes the tarragon in it and part of me thinks it was overpowering. Now onto my biggest gripe (well maybe tied with the attitude of the waitstaff). We both ordered a $120 Wagyu filet expecting some amazing, melt in your mouth, meaty goodness. Instead we get served two pieces of meat that could've passed for chuck. It was a hassle to both cut and chew, I've bough better steaks at my local supermarket. And on top of that it came smothered in some wine reduction that wasn't mentioned anywhere on the menu. If I'm ordering what is supposed to be a delicious high-end cut of beef I want to taste it. I don't want it smothered in some sauce that I didn't ask for. We went to Oscar's the following night and paid $56 for a filet that was much more tender and prepared right. With a nice crust, salt, and pepper. And we were treated like family by the staff who actually appreciated our business instead watching a basketball game.
