  • I've had nothing but bad luck with plumbers over the years. One could say I'm plumber-phobic. They speak a whole different language, and I just have to trust their recommendations. My trust in the last one I used got me ripped off, so I procrastinated calling a plumber for a slow drain that was occasionally backing up in our utility room. People in my neighborhood Facebook group recommended Anthony's Plumbing, and I saw they had a $55 drain cleaning special so I gave them a call this morning. To my surprise, they were able to get someone out within a few hours. Robert arrived on time, was very pleasant/professional and clearly knew what he was dealing with in our older home. He quickly snaked the drain, tested it, and cleaned up after himself. He showed me a picture of the debris in the drain as well. He also recommended (and sold me) a product that will help with ongoing maintenance. He looked at the last work done by a different plumber and pointed out what was wrong (and right), and gave me recommendations for it as well. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience - quick, competent and just what I needed (no major upselling). Total bill including the cleaning product was $110. I will definitely call them again when I need a plumber!
