  • First let me start by saying that I did not use Tide's services. Reason: pricing. I went in with a comforter -- this is just an average comforter - not down filled or anything. I just wanted it cleaned, no special services or stains, but since they don't post prices anywhere online (that I could find), I went into the store to inquire. They have posted on a sign that cleaning a comforter is $34.99. The clerk then told me if the comforter is even slightly filled, with down or anything else, the price is $44.99. $44.99!!! To CLEAN a comforter. Not purchase a new one, just to clean one. The clerk started to explain that their services include things you can't find elsewhere; I stopped her mid-sentence and told her not to bother trying to pitch me the service. Now, not many things phase me, but I walked out of the store with my jaw on the ground, laughing at the ridiculousness. $44.99!! Skip it and go somewhere else. ANYWHERE else.
