Our son has had now 11 ear infections in the past year. Went here for a consultation and was told pediatricians over diagnose ear infections so he's probably fine. Thought it was odd he didn't even look in his ears. He said come back in six weeks. Since he was the expert we listened. In that six weeks he had another ear infection. The day we brought him back for the follow up visit our son was super congested. He looked in his ears this time and said they were "fine". We left there and drove straight to the pediatrician for our son's already scheduled well baby check. The pediatrician looked in his ears and was appalled that we had just left an ENT who said they were fine. He had us look through the otoscope and you could see both ears filled with yellow pus and one bulging so bad we thought it was going to burst. Our Dr said it's one of the worst ear infections he has seen. It took three days of antibiotic injections and a trip to Children's Hospital ER bc of labored breathing to get my son feeling better. Our Dr said a first year med student would have known it was an ear infection and the ENT has "done harm". Needless to say we will be getting a second ENT opinion-which I recommend for everyone.
