Went here for an oil change and asked them to inspect the some steering noise.
(i) Since I said there is some sound coming from the left side, they said that I have to replace control arm and bearing on the left side and gave me a $550. I went to a small place called 'Neighborhood Garage' and they identified that I have problem with both left and right bearing. How the hell Woodies didn't even identify it? Poor skills. And also, I was told that there is nothing wrong with the Control Arm in my new place and they just replaced both the bearings for $440. First, the didn't fully identify the problem (poor skill). Second, they said control arm is also damaged but it wasn't (cheating). Third, they tried to overcharge me
(iI) For Jeep Patriot, the recommended oil is synthetic blend but they used synthetic oil. It's just a basic thing that they should know. just for charging more, they used synthetic oil (1 point down)
(iiI) They changed the Cabin Air filter and they charged $75 ($21 - part and $50 labor). Just now I checked in internet on how to replace the Cabin Air-filter. It's just a 2 or 3 minutes job and they charged $50 labor for it. I really feel cheated here. (3 points down)
(iv) For inspecting the noise coming from steering wheel, they charged me $25. Really?? They didn't fix anything and just for inspecting it, they charged $25. (5 points down)
Note: This place use selective honesty to fool you. That's how I got fooled :)
