  • 5-Star world-class museum of sadness and generally spooky junk. This place is giant, with very high ceilings and a huge amount of floor space. When you walk in you automatically lose track of time because the lighting creates a perfect twilight. You also forget what year it is. Located on Pearl Rd south of Cleveland, you get a lot of leftovers from the baby boomer folk. This includes really damaged shit out of "Saw 3" you'd never want to look at, like old hospital beds from the 1950's, hospice care stuff, an arsenal of walkers, and other relics from people who are now surely ghosts. Walking around you can't help but think about what space the items used to occupy and you feel a bit ghosted yourself. The book selection is completely fried, consisting mostly of christian religious junk, and other outdated educational stuff. The VHS selection is incredible, and the tapes are cheap. There is a shopping cart jammed into a corner filled with unlabeled VHS tapes. They occasionally have good Super 8 / 8mm camera stuff, and have good prices on decent furniture. Beats the hell out of the Goodwill and Value World on the same stretch. If you thought that old Value World on Lorain was fucked up, DO NOT check the on Pearl Rd - it's way more damaged. Anyway, right around closing time there is a creepy P.A. system they announce over which has an echo effect - what could possibly be more killer than that?
