| - At first I was going to give this place four stars because of all the day campers there running around but then I thought about how ridiculous that is of me, I need to share! And besides, summer is almost over and I just might practically have the place to myself!
I just moved into the Charlotte area from MD, my girls are taking ballet 5 days a week for the rest of the summer and I need something to do with my little emotional terrorist, I mean little sweet wee ones. I figured since I would most likely be coming many times in the next few weeks, I should consider a membership but I wasn't sure that they would like it but the front desk person informed me that I could just pay that days admission fee and if I decided to get a family membership, they would refund me and I could purchase it. To make a long story short, we have been about 8 or more times already and though my kids have their favorite things, we try to discover something new every time. My older two had a chance to go in and watch one of the 3D movies that's included in the admission price. It's about 14 minutes long and one of two movies plays every half hour. The iMax movie is an additional cost though. So, to make a long story short, here are a few things you will get coming here: Gift shop, building forts, towers, laying on a bed of nails, air lift, chair pulleys, make your own shoes, quiz games, rat basketball tournaments, bugs, microscopes, frogs, fish, puffer fish, turtles in the rainforest, snakes, spiders, jellyfish, an awesome room with so many great things to play and experiment with for children 7 and under, a café and just way too much to list here. My kids love it, it kept them busy and interested even after going day after day after day. I've already got my membership price worth and more!
This place is for all ages, literally! They have things for toddlers and up to do and enough interesting hands on exhibits to keep even teenagers engaged. I highly recommend this place and plan to use this place as a resource in teaching my children. They've already learned so much. Score!
