| - I went last night with some friends for pho and really enjoyed it! I'd been to Saigon Palace years and years ago, and remembered it fondly - and the place stood up to those memories. It was decorated just as I remembered, and very clean and quiet for a Thursday night. Service was super quick and attentive. We had about three different staff members ask us if everything was great, if we needed anything, and to refill our drinks. It was *almost* too much.
Our appetizers were great! My friends and I split an order of fresh summer rolls with shrimp and also got Vietnamese iced coffees for ourselves. Though shrimp isn't my favorite, the roll itself was great. Very fresh and the accompanying hoisin peanut sauce was excellent. If I were to fault anything, it would be that there didn't appear to be a vegetarian option for those of us who prefer summer rolls sans seafood. The iced coffee, as always, was delicious. No complaints there. Just wish I could have finished the whole thing (I don't do a lot of dairy so a friend finished mine off for me).
For our mains, we all ordered pho. My typical order is the vegetarian, and I was not disappointed in this one! The broth was great with plenty of vegetables, and the fried tofu was a favorite among our whole group (even the little one!). No complaints here. The youngest of our group also ordered a taro bubble tea, which she raved about and savored through a post-dinner walk through Target.
Overall a great meal, good ambiance, and kind service. I took off one star only because I'd love to see more vegetarian options. The menus we had didn't seem to include many.
