  • Finally, a proper bubble tea shop opens in Newmarket. Sure, there was a great one at Yonge and Mulock, but it succumbed to a business failure. The hole has been filled! I Love Tea is located in the McDonalds mall on the corner of Leslie and Davis Drive. It's a bit hard to find because it is in the building behind another building. Hunt it down. Like so many good tea shops, you can specify the level of sugar you want and select from a variety of toppings. My first try was my usual Mango Green Tea. This one was different from my reference from Chatime. I noticed that the mango green tea is using a real mango purée rather than syrups. It's not as prominent a mango flavour as I would prefer, but the Passionfruit Green Tea is very close to Chatime, and a buck less in cost. UPDATE: they just updated the menu and added Bubble Waffles and Popcorn Chicken. I had a sample of the chicken, and it was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside--not like so many other dried out pebbles. You need to try this place out!
