  • This isn't exactly what you would expect from "The W". The location itself is far off from the strip, but close enough to get to with ease. Upon check in my room was not ready, I was then "upgraded" from my King bed to two full size beds. The wait for a manager took about 15 minutes and we had just finished flying a connection and picking up a rental so we were tired. The young lady apologized for the wait and asked if we would like a drink at the bar, my husband said yes and that was it... she never comped the drinks or anything. Usually if you're waiting and drinks are offered the drinks are complimentary. I'd expect this from a lower level hotel, so I'd definitely expect it from The W. Ammentities: The room is just that, a room. They have an iron, ironing board, mini bar and cosmetic mirror. There is no fridge for personal use, no microwave (unless you rent one for a ridiculous daily rent) etc. There is an ice machine out in the hallway and if you remove the drinks to put food in the fridge like I did, expect to be charged as the drinks are automatically billed after 60 seconds removal. This was written on a card at the very back so you won't see it until you remove everything. Our television didn't work and once we called we were told there were issues with the service. I had a child with me so this was terrible. We left the room and returned, I tried retrieving the fruit I placed in the fridge, however, after room service came in all of the unopened mini bar drinks were gone and they locked the food in the fridge. My daughter was hungry and I was told the fridge was unlocked. An hour passed and still nothing. At this point my daughter began crying and a few moments later security shows up at the door... not to fix the television or open the fridge ( you know the two things that keep kids quiet... food and entertainment) but to say that they've received noise complaints. What? We are the last room on the row, there was a dog barking all hours in the next room, my tv doesn't work and you d held our food hostage and you're bothering me with this? When I went to check out there were three other people complaining about their stay as well so I just assume that this building/location is an horrible representation of the brand and what to expect from The W.
