| - The coffee is fine but the staff makes ordering it as hard as possible. And they are so proud of their service for some reason. Please learn how it's done.
Here's how the conversation went:
What would you like?
I'll have a cappuccino... and a bagel with cream cheese
What size? (ignoring my bagel request)
Small (would have ordered a medium if they had asked or attempted the upsell!)
What kind of milk do you want?
Uh, just a regular cappuccino.
Well, there's soy, whole milk, 2%, blah, blah, blah (if I wanted special milk, wouldn't I say that???)
Uh, ok, whole milk, just a regular cappuccino.
So you don't want any flavor?
No. ...Well, I hope there's some flavor!
I just mean you don't want any syrup?
No, thank you. (what are you only used to serving sugar addicts who can't drink coffee without tons of sugar "flavor" dumped in? You get confused when someone just wants to taste coffee? Is this coffee for pre-teens?)
And what would you like to eat
A bagel with cream cheese, like I said. (didn't we cover this?)
Would you like it heated up?
Yes, please (finally, a good idea)
Come on, why is this so hard? the person behind the counter clearly is following some robotic procedure instead of trying to see what the customer wants. The owner was standing right there. I guess this is just how it works. Now I'm in a bad mood just thinking about the ridiculous amount of wasted time that takes place in these four walls every day.
The coffee was ok, nothing special. My friend did take some of the syrup offered and it was so sweet she couldn't drink it. The bagel was very good but man did I have to work for it.
I would have given them two stars but their average rating is already way too high.
