| - We got a very nice upgrade on 1 January, to a high floor room with unsettling view down the Strip. I couldn't get Steven Paddock out of my mind as we looked across the street. Still, the Strip at night was a lovely view, with the big moon rising in the east.
Room quiet and well-appointed. Parking easy to negotiate. It's a huge facility but it's a pretty hefty resort fee for January with not so big a payoff. The main gym a bit disappointing -- there's plenty of cardio equipment, but not so great on the weights...either dumbbells or barbells, and no gym with dumbbells should be missing it's 15 lb'ers.
Wifi was strong, bathroom lovely with a very deep tub and an excellent shower, and a very comfortable bed. Uber pickups were quick and dropoff location is convenient. Felt very good about security; it's everywhere and visible. Check-in took about 30 minutes wait, which was manageable but probably low compared to a busier period. Can't comment on the restaurant's other than Della's Place which is a fine spot for breakfast, albeit a bit pricey.
Tips:
1. Bring your own water boiler if you're staying for longer than a day. Coffee in the room is pricey.
2. Bring some Bustelo instant and creamers, and cups, too.
3. Bring your own bottled water.
4. The in-room radio connects via Bluetooth to your phone if you want to play music.
5. Tip your housekeeper a bit and s/he will be lovely to you.
