| - tldr: If you're in an accident in Sin
City don't let ewing brothers tow your car, especially if you have AAA! But seriously read the entire review.
This bottom feeding organization that takes advantage of victims of auto theft and car accidents is aided and abetted by the Las VegaS PD and deserves zero stars. Son was in an accident and was told by the attending officer that E&E Vehicle Solutions was a company that worked with insurance companies in cases of accidents. My son has AAA, but they took advantage of his naïveté. E&E and Ewing Brothers are the same company, while we were there attempting to get my son's possessions out of his car, another man came in, his car had been stolen. He was notified via snail mail his car had been recovered and he could pick it up. This was six days after they sent the letter. Man was informed he could take his car after paying the impound fees, which totaled over $497, this comes out to $86 a day in fees. My son was returning home to get a copy of his cars title which had been lost, without it he could not register his car in Utah, the registration had lapsed and because of this he was denyed access to his car. By the time CA DMV opens Monday and he returns either the same day or the next day, his car will have been kept there 5-6 days so he will be in the same situation as the man whose car was stolen and paying almost $500 in impound fees. My son's car will definitely be totaled and this will not be worth the effort and money it will take to recover any items left in the car. If you are a victim of a car accident in Las Vegas know your rights, you can specify to the attending officer where you would like your car towed. For an attending officer to tell anyone that this is a company that helps facilitate during an accident or that this company is the PD's first call upon vehicle recovery/towing a car for a parking violation tells me someone somewhere is getting kickbacks. When our car was stolen several years ago the Riverside County deputy who responded to an abandoned vehicle call, called my husband first after running the plates and seeing that our car had been stolen. He told him if he could be there in 30 minutes he would not call a tow service. What a difference in attitude and service.
LVPD along with Ewing Brothers on the other hand, takes advantage of people already victimized and preys on them again financially. Anyone living in Vegas who has had a car towed and had to deal with this nonsense should hire an attorney and file a class action lawsuit against this legalized extortion racket.
Side note, For us to have son's car towed to a different location from the E&E lot would run $50 just for them to take it off their lot and park it on the street! Also, found this article regarding the towing industry in las vegas.
