  • I ordered a gender reveal cake at Wild Flour Bakery recently. It's very hard to find a bakery that does this type of cake on a regular basis so I was appreciative that they knew exactly what I was talking about. I only have two complaints. When I ordered the cake, I would've appreciated having a little more consultation time. It was a bit busy when I went, but I had called before and they told me to just drop by. I would've preferred to schedule a 10 minute consultation just to ensure I got my questions answered. If I had known the half sheet cake was so big, I would've ordered something smaller. I also was not a huge fan of the icing - it was a little too thick, but it did conceal our baby's identity. Other than that, the marble cake was delicious. Definitely better than a grocery store cake. They let me know what type of design would add to the cost and worked with me to keep it affordable. They also matched the cake to our invitations. They even left the box slightly open so the design would not be ruined! I would definitely return to Wild Flour for any future special occasion cakes because overall, the staff is very friendly and they have some talented bakers/artists!
