| - Our car rental attempt was a complete failure and disaster. We rented a car through Expedia with Hertz, expecting to pick up the car at the Las Vegas Airport rental car area. When we got to Hertz at the McCarran Airport, Hertz informed us that the car had to be picked up at the Flamingo Hotel on the Strip. This was a complete shock to us, as we needed the car at the airport to drive to the Aria Hotel where we were booked. Despite having reserved the car with Hertz, Herz absolutely and unequivocally refused to allow us to pick up the car at the airport. They said that because we reserved the car through a 3rd Party - EXPEDIA - they could/would do nothing. We were forced to take a $20 taxi cab ride to the Flamingo Hotel to try to pick up the car. Upon arriving at the Flamingo Hotel and going to the Hertz car rental Kiosk, low and behold the Hertz Kiosk was closed for the night and would not reopen until 7 am the next morning. We were stuck with No Rental Car and complete refusal of help by Hertz. We had to take yet another $20 taxi ride to get to the Aria Hotel. We were then late to a scheduled meeting because of having no rental car. Hertz refused to allow us to pick up a car at the airport claiming that, since it was booked through 3rd party, Expedia, they would do nothing, not even making an effort to see if the Hertz rental kiosk where they were sending us was even open. This failure, refusal to help, and complete lack of caring or concern by Hertz caused us lost time and money, to say nothing of stress and irritation. I will never ever book Hertz again.
