| - Moving into this place was a total joke and nightmare. Keys were not prepared for a majority of residents. They did not have enough documents for residents to sign. Units were all left unlocked for anyone to access. Keycard access to the complex was not implemented for weeks. My unit was covered in construction dust and dirt, and the toilet had clearly been used already. It took 3 days of cleaning for the unit to be habitable. The apartment is fairly bare when it comes to furniture. Only one barstool is provided per bedroom (because if you have one bedroom you clearly do not have any friends). Parts of the floor in the living area and the whole bathroom were unfinished (which makes it difficult to clean). Dings, scuffs, scratches, and dents are everywhere on the floors and walls. The armchair has a tear, and the TV's sound output has static. Management has refused to repair or replace anything.
The build-quality is generally terrible. The AC broke a couple days after I moved in during record high temperatures and was not fixed promptly. The shower for months would sporadically not have hot water. After a few months, the 'wood' trim in the kitchen peeled off. My cable did not work when I moved in and took months to get fixed. The internet is also slow and extremely unreliable. The walls are thin and the hallways are loud. The lights are harsh, ugly, and hot.
The 'secure' parking garage's gates are often broken for weeks at a time and left open allowing anyone access. It is dirty and infested with pigeons. It is also dangerous because of tight spaces, blind spots, and drivers cutting corners and speeding. I have almost gotten hit many times and have seen parked cars get hit. At least one elevator to my building is often out of order, sometimes both. The hallways and especially the elevators are disgustingly dirty and smelly. The pool is also often visibly dirty.
Security is nearly useless as they do not take any action against large parties or excessive noise. There have been multiple shootings on the property. They have denied me access to carts and parking passes. I have also been accused of disorderly conduct for simply having the lights on in my apartment at night. Maintenance will enter the apartment without permission, and it can take weeks to get something fixed. Some of the office staff is okay, but none of them have any power to do anything productive about any issues. Getting to talk to, let alone meet with a manager, is difficult. Rent is already high and overpriced, and the rates have gone up.
The only pro to this place is that the complex is relatively close to ASU. They hide negative reviews on their website. Avoid this place at all costs. They do not deserve the money.
