rev:text	I love this store and its owners, but I can never go back there again. I made the mistake of ordering a live fish, observing that one of the practitioners chopped off the head, then proceeded to filet the fish. I felt that was humane enough and expected that the fellow handling mine would do the same. It seemed unnecessary to ask, "is the fish already out of it's misery before you process it". So I ordered one, expecting what I had seen to transpire again. However, a different guy, frustratingly slower, skinned the poor fish, cut his fins, changing knives while the head was still unsevered from the spine, its poor heart beating in its chest while being flayed. its tail flapping, and I asked if it was killed, but he didn't answer. "Did you see it move"? he asked with a smile i didn't like, still cutting. He said after he was done, that they had just stunned the fish before cutting it open. I am horrified. I never would have ordered it if I had known the method this man would choose to use. I do not understand why they couldn't have made sure it was out of its misery before all that the poor creature went through. Who wants to consume something that has been unnecessarily tortured this way? In my distress, I asked for the owner, who I usually see there, but neither of them were there. The manager with whom I spoke was unsympathetic and unhelpful. It really ruined my day and disrupted my harmony. I just wanted to know that my food was food before being treated like food.I am horrified with the poor creature's demise, and disgusted with the people who I dealt with at Wholley's in the owners absence.
