  • I only recently discovered that Calgary had retail Sally's Beauty locations. I have only ever visited the one on Sunridge Way, but I'm a fan. Thus far, I've picked up Gelish polishes, acrylic powder, and silk wrap supplies. I didn't need any help picking out any of those things, as I've used them for years. I was asked by one of the ladies who had just started working there for information on soak-off, LED cured, gel polish systems, as she was pretty unfamiliar with them. She was an enthusiastic and curious "student." Her willingness to learn will no doubt make her an asset to Sally's. I've also picked up the supplies to start waxing at home. I did need some help with this, and it was a bit slow in coming: the ladies I needed help from were all helping other people. I'm not always greeted when I enter the store, but everyone is always very friendly when I interact with them. They are also incredibly tolerant of my six-year-old son, who has a tendency to rearrange the shelves when I'm trying to decide on polish colours. I look forward to future visits.
