| - I bought a vacation home, where the pool was installed by this company. 15 months after taking ownership of the home, the electronics and motors in our pool short circuited requiring us to replace them. Unfortunately, when Unique put in the pool, they provided no access to get at the motors or electronics. So, 12 weeks later, and $10,000 lighter, we finally removed the last of the landscaping, chipped away the retaining walls, cut all the rebar, and were able to access the motors to replace them.
Now we have a huge gaping hole at one end of the pool that will need to be built back up, with future access ensured. I know that whomever paid to put in the pool was not thinking about future owner needing access to the motors and electronics, but it was a nightmare that could have been easily avoided with only a little more "forward thinking". Something the pool installer should have flagged during the install process.
I am fearful that my hot tub motors are next to go (and it was installed by Unique as well).
