| - I had been renting through Barrett Eastman for over 2.5 years. I was very happy, because it was a small company, personal email contact, easy communications about rent and any repairs. They were pleasant to work with.

Came July 2016, all of a sudden, without notice my rent gets withdrawn by a company Gentry Realty. I was worried, they used Rent Direct, but the amount was correct. 6 weeks later I get a letter, the are now working with a collaboration with said Realty office in Mesa. BE office is 2 miles down the road. My contact person doesn't reply, so I drive to the office, sorry Lorna no longer works here.
The communication dwindles. Come December, I had an issue with fraud on my bank, so take out a money order for the rent. No auto pay possible. I drive to the office on 25th ave, the sign is still there, but the office door is locked. The mail box has a huge sign on it, stating they are permanently closed and to mail your payments to Mesa. There has been NO communication with the tenants that the office was going to close. I am stumped. They have a new portal through Rentvest, but the website is down most of the time ' under construction' or something else, so I sit there with my money order. Finally, I get an email from Rentvest to say, Hey, your rent is late...duh. So they dare to charge me a 5 day notice fee, a late fee and no further communications.
I am about to reach out to the owner of this property. I love the house, but I hate dealing with incompetent business. I don't feel comfortable to mail those large amounts out. They only want money orders. You can pay on their website, but it's more down than not. At least the tenant portal.
Frustrated. It was good, while it lasted. They are now gone and closed.
