| - As a lover of both food trucks and Cajun food, I almost drooled when I got wind of Sticky Ricky's coming to U of C for one of the food truck days they host every few Wednesdays.
I stood in line for about an hour in sub zero conditions to get my hands on something delicious, yet by the time I got to the front of the queue, the gumbo and corn bread had already disappeared, along with the red beans and sausage. Alas, the only dish remaining on the menu was my choice of a fish or fowl Po' boy. I got the chicken, which was actually two little Po' boys served in a takeout container, a substantial amount of food for eight dollars. Let me say that these were easily the best Po' boys I have ever tasted, even against what I have tasted in trips to the southern U.S. The coleslaw was perfect and creamy, the buns were squishy and decadent, and the beautiful, tangy ranch sauce that covered the whole thing almost reduced me to tears.
I can't vouch for anything else on the menu as of yet, but thus far, Sticky Ricky's is a winner in my books.
