I bought a Fitbit Flex today and was shocked when I opened the box to discover that it was covered in scratches, fingerprints, and dust. It looked like something someone had used for a few weeks and then returned to the store. Both the large and small bands were dirty, and even the charger had obvious scratches on it. The battery was also already half-charged even though it stated in the instructions manual that the battery should not yet be charged and you must do it before wearing. I was very disappointed and had to return it.
When I told the cashier what happened she was apologetic and gave me a refund right away. However, when she told the manager what had happened, he was very rude, practically scoffing, and loudly said "Well, they're sold out." Did he mean that since they were sold out that it is okay to sell previously used and returned products as new?
