  • Such a great place, and so needed in Cave Creek! For years, there have been very limited choices for where to stay in Cave Creek. Prickly Pear Inn opened in late November 2017, and it's a breath of fresh air. The rooms are clean and functional, but also beautifully decorated in tasteful (not chintzy) Western decor. The kitchenettes, large bathrooms and big screen TVs make the rooms comfortable and inviting. Considerable thought has been given to the surfaces in the room--granite countertops, wood-tile floors, and rustic cabinets and ironwork to name a few things. Several rooms have private balconies with views of the fantastic mountains to the north, and it's centrally located in Cave Creek next to one of our favorite restaurants, El Encanto. There is plenty of shopping and great food within walking distance, too. The mercantile at the hotel is a good place to start! Cave Creek is a wonderful place to visit, and people go there for its ties to the past, yet convenience of the present. Prickly Pear Inn is a fantastic addition to that character. Whether you are staying in Cave Creek for a day or a week, this is the place to go!
