While traveling we had an engine misfire issue with our 2008 Ford Ranger (which was the 3rd engine issue we've had in the same number of months) and found Earnhardt Ford on our route. We were immediately scheduled for a diagnostic test, but we were told that it would take a while. We were offered a ride to the mall to fill the time as soon as the courtesy van returned.
However, before we could make it to the mall, we decided to take a look at the Ford Transit Vans. We had previously discussed replacing the truck with a Ford Van so we decided to look while we waited for the ride to the mall.
Recognizing that it was a high volume dealership that was working it's sales system, we took a test drive and after a little bit of discussion decided to purchase the Ford Transit Connect XL Van.
The sales men and finance personnel with whom we dealt were pleasant, but could be perceived as pushy. The price was reasonable and the financing process was relatively "easy".
We didn't realize that the van didn't have cruise control until we were headed down the highway. We are now in the process of trying to find a cruise control package for it with our local Ford dealership. Apparently, the Transit Connect doesn't have cruise control as an after market option because it is so new. This review would have been 5 Stars had the van come with cruise control.
