My boyfriend wanted to get some really nice steaks since we got a new grill and we decided to come here instead of the regular grocery store. Not going to lie, it's really really expensive. This was my first time ever to a butcher shop and now I understand why. $16.99 a lb for a boneless ribeye, which is normally like $6.99 a lb in a regular grocery store. That's the comparison. I haven't tried both steaks side by side but it's not too different I believe. What we got was called 1855 upper choice boneless ribeye steak. It was huge and and came out delicious.
What grocery stores don't have that you can get from here is Dry aged Prime ribeye. Which is like an aged dried out meat that they keep in the fridge at a certain temperature. This was $28.99 a lb. Reiterating that yes it's very expensive. But you can't get this at a regular grocery store. You may have to go to a really good steakhouse. We got one of these to share and this was quite different than the regular steaks. I believe it holds more flavor.
Probably won't come here often cause of the price, but if you want great steaks to grill like they're from the steakhouse come here if your trying to impress somebody. The meat is great and all it needs is some salt and pepper.
