  • While I endured seemingly endless requests for documentation upon documentation, we did ultimately close with the rate I had locked in and the fees were relatively low. We have great credit, lots of equity and extra cash in the bank and it was still a lot of hoops to jump through, but I could upload everything electronically and the notary came to us to sign everything at closing. I would say that it was a 2 month process, however--we locked in a rate in early July and closed in late august.
