  • Not quite sure why reviews have been slipping but I still prefer Bellagio as my favorite buffet to hit up in Vegas. The one at Bucchanal is a close 2nd though. Bucchanal charges much more to Bellagio for what they serve in terms of unique food items. Buffets I've been to in Vegas: Bellagio, Bucchanal (Caesars), Cravings (Mirage), Wicked Spoon, and Wynn. I always come here for their Chilean sea bass. I'm a seafoody so any buffet that serves this fish wins it for me. The last time I came here they didn't have their "Gourmet Dinner" concept which I presume added their Beef Wellington, Kobe beef, Duck breast, Caviar, and their Alaskan King crab legs (Yes that's right, not Alaskan "Snow" crab legs which are much cheaper in price per lb). Now let's get down to what's good here: Beef wellington was absolutely amazing here. I ate so many slices of this. Cooked perfectly to medium rare and perfect crusting wrapped around the beef tenderloin. Definitely recommending getting this item. Kobe beef was surpisingly not that good. It was very lean and dry. We asked if we could have a more rare side but they didn't offer it. Kind of surprised. So I waited for the next batch and noticed it was more red this time around so I gave it another chance but stil it was very try and tough. I was expecting a marbly piece of meat. Maybe it was incorrectly labelled. It was not the Kobe beef I was expecting at all =S Would not try this item again. Chilean Seabass was amazing as always. Did not change one bit from the last time I came here which was about 4 years ago. It's an expensive piece of fish that unfortunately other popular buffets do not serve. This again is a reason in itself to choose Bellagio buffet over the overs for those seafood lovers. Alaskan King Crab and Snow Crab legs were very mediorce. Starting to not appreciate the frozen then thawed crab legs. They lack the real crab taste and it's super salty. I love crab legs but unfortunately it has come down to point where you need to just get them fresh to enjoy it. Frozen crab legs just don't count it for me anymore; the difference in taste is far too much now. Prime rib is amazing as always; one of the better prime ribs served compared to the other buffets I think. They have beef juice and horseradish to go with it. I always get multiple slices of this everytime I come here. Definitely recommend trying it! Make sure it's medium rare or more rare! Anything cooked above medium-rare is just a waste of meat! Caviar variety was okay but maybe I'm just not a caviar kind of guy. I tried all 3 of them caviars. Flying fish roe, Salmon roe, and Sturgeon roe (black caviar). They were all very salty and not much desired flavor. I'll pass on this the next time I come here but it's worth a try I guess since this is something new they added to the "Gourmet Dinner". I also tried their Steak Tartare which was okay. Not very appetizing though because it straight up looks like raw ground beef with some seasoning on it. Not for the faint hearted. I'd still give it a try since it's not usually offered during their non-Gourmet meals. I still think this is the go-to buffet. I wouldn't mind going to Bucchanal again as well but I think the Bellagio buffet had more memorable items to come back for compared to the rest.
