What a terrible experience! I came here based on Yelp reviews and Yelp steered me in the wrong direction!
I came in for my appointment with Audrey and she informed me her client before me had way more hair than she expected and asked if I could come back in an hour. This was a little frustrating but I understand that sometimes things happen. I wasn't in a rush and she told me she would give me a discount.
I came back in an hour. She was ready for me and got to work. During my visit with her she was coughing a lot because she was sick. Her being sick didn't actually bother me because it happens and you've still got to pay the bills. What did bother me is the lack of attempt to cover the coughing from getting on me. Three days later I came down with a cold.
When she got to cutting my hair I got more concerned. I guess to sum it up, I could tell there was not a lot of precision going into my cut. I was a little surprised but I'm not a stylist so I thought "lets just see how this turns out".
When my hair was cut and dried she got out the color again and began to touch up my hair. I've never had this done before... She mentioned there was some "bleeding" and that the extra color would fix it but if not I could come back and fix it.
When it came to pay the bill she gave me a bill of $110. She said she usually charges $150. I got a cut and partial foil. I was charged $110 my previous visit for the same services but was not given a discount. Also, upon looking at the salon prices on your website it appears that $150 is much higher than the standard prices. It seems to me I was never really given a discount despite my waiting an hour to be seen and being promised a discount.
When I got home I gave my hair a closer look. I was not happy! First off the length of my hair is not even. One side is shorter than the other. The layers are choppy and don't look right. Lastly, in between my highlights there are "spots" of color. I was going to a holiday party that night and was so sad! I now had to try and hide my hair instead of feel like I am having my best hair day like I usually do after leaving the salon.
My experience was truly a nightmare. I emailed J Anthony management and I never heard back from them. I will never be back.
