I thought about this review for a long time because I wanted to be fair and rational. I was a former Wells Fargo client and switched over to US Bank because someone committed fraud on my bank account and it scared me. I really regret this decision and here's why
The bill pay is not as user-friendly
Neither of the two US Banks closest to my home has a drive-thru ATM machine
Their ATM machines are often broken and when you go inside, it takes three times longer to make your transaction then it would have had you used the ATM machine.
When using the ATM machine you get $100 bills in some cases and have to deposit those to make change where you can actually spend the bills you are receiving from the money machine.
They often call me on my cellular phone and leave messages to call them back with no subject whatsoever. Therefore, one would believe your account has a fraudulent attack on it - but that is not the case. They want to sell you a service and use this trick as a tactic to get you to call them back.
If it wasn't a hassle to return to Wells Fargo then I would do it in a second. However, due to direct deposit and bill pay being set up this is not an easy task as you would need both accounts to operate simultaneously while phasing out the old account.
Overall, my experience with US Bank has been in most ways less enjoyable and less convenient then with Wells Fargo. I just feel that I am working with the second-place team.
